This is not one of my own. But am posting this for Soul Bringer. It is his story.
———————————————————————————
I was trying hard to make myself feel content with my face. That small mirror did not provide me with any opportunity to admire for the 74th time, my newly bought pepe Ice blue jean. But it was the nth time in those 12 minutes, when I combed my hair, the only thing that could be adjusted. I was all set for those 3 minutes.

Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear – It was Madhu who looked into my eyes through the mirror, with his charming smile, while approaching my RX135
from behind. I turned back, as he clutched my right shoulder, to see him asking

“Raj, how far will this continue?”

“till she gets married”, it was Joesph who appeared from nowhere but only to tease me.

I did not have to reply. Because, the reason behind me standing 7 blocks away from my department was certainly not to argue with them. Being my friends for more than an year, they knew it too. I knew, it had begun to become a boring ritual for them. But for me, it were those 3 minutes, that drove my entire day activities and the very reason behind me being punctual to college.

It was not a surprise when they started talking about that very obvious thing; The Area of Interest; certainly nothing related to academics. But, it indeed was a surprise, a pleasant one, when she appeared in distance from that narrow passage behind our library, in that lovely yellow churidar, which I had always liked to see her in. Because, my guess for that day, was the maroon one. The 3 minutes of my day had begun.

My hearty started pounding as fast as it could.
