Once upon a time in the land of Gor, there lived a snake called Nae. He was a long and brown snake with green spots all over his body. He was very proud of the sheen on his body and he tried to show it off to anyone every chance he got.
Now, to go on with the story, I have to give some background information. Gor was a cruel country with very less greenery around. It was full of rocks and great mountains with a shrub or desert plant found in nooks and crannies. Flowers bloomed for a day when it rained. It rained very rarely in Gor, though. So only the toughest of the tough could survive in this land. Humans were rare and the underbrush was live with animals which needed very little sustenance, in terms of water and food. The very few humans, a mere 22 in all, lived in a small valley towards the south where there was a small brook. The humans always had a small settlement near the brook. The brook was called mafero by the humans and the settlement was called maferobir.
After the first paragraph you may have guessed where Nae lived. As he loved to show his shiny skin he lived near by the brook under a huge rock bordering a copse of gnarled trees. Unlike other snakes, Nae was not afraid of the humans and the humans revered him and worshipped him as the Snake God. He was named Nae-Tam by the humans and worshipped with reverence. The humans would fall on their feet whenever they saw Nae. Nae was very happy when he got so much attention. Even though he was lazy most times he used to give an appearance atleast once a day to bask in the attention he got.
