So me back from Goa after three days of soothing greenery, relaxation and piece of mind. (Oh, how I hate to sit at a computer and work today)

We had a great time in Goa (that actually is insane…I mean who can’t have a great time in Goa)

Highlights:

1) Thursday morning 9:30, reached Goa

2) 10:30 – settled down in a hotel

3) 12:30 – rented three bikes after lots of haggling over the price (one bullet, one Passion and one Unicorn)

4) 13:30 – Had lunch, one drink and took our bikes toward North Goa.

5) 15:00 – Visited Aguoda (I think thats the spelling, but I could be wrong) Fort.

6) 16:00 – Then to Vagator beach, where we did buy some clothes and jump into the water. Surprise!!! Water is warm and it does not stick to your skin or hair like in all other beaches we have ever known.
7)17:30 Anjuna beach. Met a guy at Anjuna who was doing a tattoo on another guy. Me very very interested. Guy busy that day and was asked to come back the next day. Disappointment!!! Went on to a beachside restaurant and had a beer each. 8) 19:00 Prem had an accident with the bullet he was riding. Minor scratch wounds. We were relieved because the bike also had some cosmetic damage and headlight broken. Took the fallen bike and I rode it back into town (Panjim).

9) 20:30 Showered and started back to Tito’s at Baga Beach. On the way we went to a doctor to dress up the wound on Prem’s hands.

10) Until 2:45 AM partied at Tito’s. We would have loved to stay longer, if not for Prem and his wound. It was giving him so much pain that we all had to (ruefully disappointed) leave. Again big surprise…nobody got really drunk. Wow!!!

11) Bought some food outside Tito’s (too f#$%^ing costly) and started back to the hotel.

12) 4:00 AM – Slept

13) Friday 9:00 AM – The bike guy (B!@#$%d) woke us up for the next day’s rent. So we all got ready by 10:30 AM

14) 11:00 – Brunch and the proverbial first drink of the day.

15) Until 14:00 Went all around Panjim for a bullet mechanic. Got the bike repaired.

16) 14:30 – Baga beach. Hired 5 decked chairs (actually they were free for beer…hehehe) and lazed around on the beach. Man that was heavenly. Beer, lotsa babes, total relaxation – welcome to the lazy boys club!!!

17) Found a tattoo guy near the beach. He couldn’t do the tattoo I wanted that day. But he said he could the next day. Disappointment!!!

17) 19:30 Left for the hotel.

18) After a shower at the hotel went out looking for a good bar. After trying out a couple of places we went back to the bar/restaurant at our hotel. Conclusion: Bars and Pubs suck in Panjim. Next time stay away from the city.

19) After 12:30 AM we went out for a walk to Miramar beach with a beer in hand. Sat on the beach, took some photos of stray crabs and went back to sleep at the hotel.

20) 9:00 AM Next day (Saturday) the bike guy (B!@#$%d) woke us up early again. Paid the ass@#$% and we all got ready.

21) 10:45 – Baga beach AGAIN. Same place, same deck chairs and breakfast with coffee.

22) 11:30 – While I went to the tattoo guy (his name was Noel) the others lazed around the beach.

23) 12:30 – Started the tattoo on my arm. Dull throbbing pain and some exhilaration that I was getting a tattoo for myself after so many years of yearning for it. Noel played Deep Purple in the background…was very useful to keep me distracted during the more painful times.

24) 14:00 – Tattoo done. It was freaking awesome. Went to the beach, ordered a beer and started reading a book.

25) 15:00 – Two beers and we were ready to go back. It was a very almost tearful parting from Baga beach.

26) 16:00 – Returned the bikes. We had some fun when the guy there tried to find where the injuries were on the bullet. He tried his damndest to find it, but no way. You see, we had a passably damn good job on the bullet.

27) 16:30 – Walked towards the Bus with a heavy heart. Bought some booze for friends at one of the Govt. approved shops.

28) 17:00 – Went to a bar/restaurant near the bus depot. Had a couple of drinks.

29) 16:15 – Got into the bus rueful, sad and forlorn.

30) Sunday 9:30 – Back in Bangalore.

Photos tomorrow folks. Await some stunning photographs. :)
