An amazingly great trip to and from Bangalore. Great party with Abhilash, Anoop, Manu, Naveen and of course the great me. Nice one people.
After a late start from Bangalore due to Manu’s ‘Gastritis’, thats what I think it is called, we somehow made it out of Bangalore. Man, was Manu tired and puking and just about looked like he would die on me? Oh yeah, he did. What with the increased heart rate and all, he sure did give me a scare.
So, after buying a helmet for Manu (safety first always, you know) we took to the roads on my very first longer-than-usual bike ride on my trusted Enfield Bullet 350. No snags and beautiful roads (for more information on the two routes you can take do read Naveen-Anoop ride with some great photographs ) kept me going, while Manu had to cling onto me for dear life. So very very few photographs and relatively slower speeds and 7-8 stops in-between brought us to Vellore 5 hours after we started (it should have been 4 hours max). Pics (meagre very less) here.
The thrill of it all was not the speeds but the rides. Although I must confess the occasional 90s were quite interesting. Didn’t want to push my bike more because it is not speed-trained.
P.S: Tristate – Started off from Karnataka, went through Andhra Pradesh (Chittoor) and then to Vellore (Tamil Nadu).
