The best things in life are not planned but done on an impulse.

That’s something I’ve learned from life. And as always, without planning, last Thursday we had a barbecue party on the terrace. It all started when Anoop and I went to “take a look” at a barbecue kit at Pots & Pans, in Indira Nagar. And yes, as you may have guessed it, Anoop bought it too. Then we rushed to Food World to buy Chicken legs and prawns to “try” out the Barbecue kit.

The worst part was lighting the coal. We spent an hour at least to get the coal to burn. But then it was finally accomplished and the result? Juicy chicken legs and prawns. Wikipedia has an article on Chimney Starter to help you light up the charcoal. Maybe, we should get that too!

We had another party on Saturday night which was a bigger affair in terms of food items – Chicken legs, Huge prawns, Beef sausages, Chicken sausages and some assorted veggies (for the grass boy Karthik). Unfortunately, Sanjeeb and Naveen could not stay back since they were tired from playing cricket and football all afternoon.

In the photo you can see Karthik fiddling with Naveen, Anoop, Nafisa and I looking on. Sanjeeb was the photographer and Jackie out of the camera view.
