Bhopal, Birla Mandir, Bhopal Lake And Some Pictures
While traveling in the North of India I had a chance to visit Bhopal, Ludhiana and Kashmir among other places. The pictures are sketchy. However, this post is only from my Bhopal visit. Kashmir pictures will be posted later.
Below is a picture of the picturesque and calm waters of the Upper Lake in Bhopal. Unfortunately, I was not able to visit the Van Vihar at the South end of the lake due to bad timings. You can also see some birds sitting on the man made structure in the middle of the lake and some sail boats in the background. The boats were very colorful but too far to take decent pictures.
A picture of Lord Shiva at the Birla Mandir on the way to the lake.
A picture of the fierce Durga Devi on her lion. Also taken at Birla Mandir.
And the last picture is that of a turtle in the Government Aquarium in Bhopal. The turtle is asking for a ‘lift’ I suppose
.

In the next few posts I will share pictures of snow capped mountains from Srinagar and some pictures from The Ind Aquaria ’09 hobbyist fish exhbition pictures from Cochin.
