Brrr… Srinagar Was Cold

To start off, a picture of the mountains when nearing Srinagar, taken in-flight.

And then a birds-eye-view.

My biggest mistake – no warm clothes and it was nearing winter in Srinagar. Brrr… I suffered all day until I could manage to buy a sweater, courtesy a friend there. But it was a bit late. I shivered all night due to fever from exposure.I went through the next two days in a daze, but got all my work done. It was worth the trip.

I didn’t take pictures in Srinagar due to a lot of security within the city. But it was beautiful. The trees had brown leaves and a variety of colored flowers. It was like in paradise. The previous day there was snowfall which I saw in the airport. But no snow in the city.

I did leave with a strong determination to come back. In summer. With lots of warm clothes.I’ll leave you all with another pictured of the snow covered mountain peaks.
