Jeeves,
1) God is a non entity
2) Man always portrays god in his own image (two eyes, two legs, two hands, and so on…)
3) So, of course, image of man will look like image of god and image of god will look like image of man – since both images show the same entity and not two different ones (one of which is non-existent).
