Another Fosters Art Of Chilling Party That Rocked Bangalore

Another Sunday, not this Sunday but last week, spent partying by the poolside. All thanks to Fosters and its Art of Chilling, perfected with lots of Fosters, barbecue, good people, music and hey that’s a party.

The one thing about this party was that I was able to tweet while partying on my blackberry. That felt nice. Check out the tweets at http://hashtags.org/tag/fosters/messages.

We came in early, for once, and we were joined by a few bloggers, Harish and Rachna. Then Sriharsha and one more blogger friend made a brief apppearance after which they had to run away. Then Bharath a new blogger from office dropped in with a girlfriend. And then we partied all evening, at least, till the party ended. Which we thought was never ;-) .

Since Manu had dropped in from Vellore for a brief visit it was all the more merrier with Nafisa, Anoop, Diana and me having a merry time.

I’ll leave you guys with a picture of Nafisa and I by the Fosters board. :) :) :)

My Facebook Account Is Hacked?

With all the Facebook fiascos and hacked account stories flying around I got the shock of my life when I realized yesterday that the foreign language emails I was getting from Facebook for the past week could mean that my account had been hacked.

So I logged in to my Facebook account and I checked to see that all the menu items and headers had changed to a different language. Damn, see a screenshot below:

Then I had to guess and find my way to the language settings and this is what I found:

facebook300409_lang

And what do I see? Netherlands. What the hell? How? I did not do it. Did somebody hack into my account?

I don’t know. Anybody has a clue?

One More Blog Design Change

Man, I can never stop myself from changing the design of my blog. God knows how many times. I hope I have done a decent job :)

I wanted to move away from the dark themes that I normally choose for my blog. So I decided to go with a white background theme. And I wanted the blog design to be adsense friendly. So after a lot of (soul)searching I froze upon three themes – black-splat-wr, cognoblue and blue-dream.

Then I had to remove cognoblue from the list because it was suspiciously similar to my older theme wp-andreas09 which I had changed to something totally different. So my last two choices where black-splat-wr and blue-dream. I liked black-splat-wr because it had a little bit of black, which I wasn’t able to resist from. I showed it to Karthik and he did not like it that much. So after a bit of thought I threw that out of the window. So we were left with blue-dream. The theme actually looked like the screenshot below.

blue-dream2

And then I showed it to Karthik. I personally thought that it was a classy and professional looking theme. And the idiot Karthik had to say that it doesn’t look that great either. So, I got back to tweaking a bit here and there. Thanks to Firebug, Color Picker and Firefox, even a layman, who has no clues about proper designing, can make some changes here and there to make a half decent wordpress theme. Hehehehe!

So, the question goes again. Are there any changes required to this theme?

Firefox & Ie Search For Indian Blogs & Bloggers

This is something I wanted to blog about a long long time ago. So long ago that it seems like ages since I have even blogged. Dammit! What the hell happened to me? I used to blog almost everyday. Blame it on work, or as Jamshed says, writer’s block?

Anyways, so this a cool plugin from indiblogger. With this plugin installed you can search for Indian blogs and Indian blog owners by tag, name or city. And all from the Firefox searchbar. Wow. How cool is that huh?

This addon is also available as a plugin on Mycroft.

More info with screenshots at the indiblogger firefox search plugin page.

Please Digg or IndianPad this if you like the plugin.
